New 55+ Adult Apartment Community
Community Opening: Summer 2027

Help future residents imagine their next chapter—and feel confident making it a reality.

We are seeking a relationship-driven Leasing Consultant to support the launch of a new 55+ adult apartment community scheduled to open in Summer 2027.

This role offers the opportunity to build a community from the beginning. With the building under construction, you will help prospective residents explore their options through floor plans, renderings, and finish samples, while guiding them through the decision to move.

The ideal candidate combines strong sales skills with patience, empathy, and an understanding of the personal considerations involved in downsizing from a family home.

About the Role

The Leasing Consultant leads pre-leasing activities, develops relationships with prospective residents, and converts inquiries into apartment reservations and signed lease agreements. You will maintain engagement throughout an extended sales cycle, helping future residents feel informed and supported as opening day approaches.

Following opening, the role will support move-in coordination, resident orientation, and ongoing leasing activities.

Pre-Opening Responsibilities
  • Present apartment layouts, finishes, amenities, and lifestyle features using floor plans, renderings, samples, and virtual presentations.

  • Guide prospective residents through applications, waitlist registration, reservations, deposits, and lease agreements in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements.

  • Build trust through thoughtful conversations about lifestyle preferences, timing, downsizing, and moving needs.

  • Maintain regular, personalized follow-up over a sales cycle that may span six to twelve months.

  • Conduct appointments and presentations from a temporary welcome centre or designated sales location.

  • Communicate approved construction updates and anticipated timelines clearly and accurately.

  • Develop referral relationships with local organizations, real estate professionals, community groups, and other relevant partners.

  • Support information sessions, marketing initiatives, and grand opening events.

  • Maintain detailed CRM records, including prospect preferences, communications, next steps, and reservation status.

  • Track leasing activity and progress toward occupancy goals.

Post-Opening Responsibilities
  • Coordinate staggered resident move-ins beginning in Summer 2027.

  • Work with property management to confirm apartment readiness and communicate move-in details.

  • Introduce residents to building amenities, services, and community information.

  • Continue conducting tours, following up with prospects, and leasing available apartments.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate leasing documentation in accordance with company policies and applicable residential tenancy requirements.

  • Provide a smooth handoff to the property management team for ongoing resident support.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in leasing, residential real estate, retirement living sales, hospitality sales, or a related customer-focused field.

  • New construction lease-up experience or experience selling to older adults is strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to convert inquiries into commitments through consultative, relationship-driven sales.

  • Confidence presenting a community before the completed apartments are available to tour.

  • Strong follow-up skills and the ability to keep prospects engaged over an extended period.

  • Comfort using CRM software to manage leads, document conversations, and organize next steps.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with marketing, construction, and property management teams.

What Will Help You Succeed

You listen carefully, follow through consistently, and understand that choosing a new home is a significant decision. You can discuss concerns with empathy, help prospects visualize their future apartment, and guide the leasing process forward without making people feel rushed.

Apply

If you enjoy building relationships and helping people find a home that suits their next stage of life, we would love to hear from you.
