About the Role

Skyline Recruitment is representing an established Vancouver-based real estate owner with a diverse portfolio of properties across British Columbia. Our client is seeking a Project Manager to join their internal construction and project delivery team, working primarily from the owner's representative side.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager coming from a strong General Contractor background who is interested in moving onto the ownership side. The successful candidate will ideally have developed strong construction knowledge, systems, processes, scheduling and cost management experience with an established GC.

Previous owner's representative or developer experience would be highly advantageous, but it is not essential.

Projects will include renovations, tenant improvements, fit-outs and capital improvement projects across the company's existing real estate portfolio.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Managing projects on behalf of the ownership group from planning through construction and completion.

Coordinating General Contractors, consultants, designers, trades and internal stakeholders.

Managing project schedules, budgets, procurement and overall project performance.

Reviewing contractor pricing, change orders, schedules and progress claims.

Supporting tendering, contractor selection and contract administration.

Conducting regular site visits and monitoring construction progress.

Identifying project risks and resolving issues proactively.

Ensuring projects meet the company's quality, budget and schedule expectations.

Managing deficiencies, project close-out and turnover.

Providing regular project updates and reporting to senior management.

What We're Looking For

Minimum 4+ years' experience within construction or project management.

Strong preference for candidates who have worked with an established General Contractor.

Experience managing renovation, tenant improvement, commercial, hospitality or similar projects would be beneficial.

Developer or owner's representative experience would be considered a strong asset.

Strong understanding of construction systems, processes, budgeting and scheduling.

Confident managing consultants, contractors and multiple stakeholders.

Strong communication, organization and decision-making skills.

Construction-related education such as BCIT or equivalent would be an asset.
