Job Title: Manager of Transportation and Lawn Services
Role Status: This position is currently vacant. Location of work will be at the office in Reeces Corners.
Compensation: The hours of work for this role are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch hour. Given these hours, the yearly wage range is $45,000 to $56,000. Placement within the range will be based on demonstrated skills, relevant experience, and internal equity considerations.
Role Overview:
The Manager of Transportation and Lawn Services is responsible for overseeing the hiring, training, and management of frontline employees, while ensuring work is carried out in adherence to LEO's organizational standards. This position consists of a mix of leadership responsibilities and administrative tasks. This role works collaboratively with the other LEO team members and community partners to set up services to support client needs. They are to build and maintain relationships with community partners who provide referrals to the programs and service vendors.

Primary Duties
- Overseeing the daily operations of the transportation and lawn programs, employees, and volunteers
- Overseeing the daily maintenance of fleet vehicles, recording circle checks, arranging vehicle repairs
- Verifying reconciliation of monthly program entries to ensure accuracy with billing and statistics, including reconciling Novus to AlayaCare
- Reviewing transportation schedules to verify scheduling is efficient and according to Employment Standards Act outlines and LEO standards
- Applying for transportation related permits such as CVOR, parking permits, parking transponders, etc.
- Installing and administering the dash cameras system (Telus Raven), maintaining constant proper working order, and monitoring alerts and reports for infractions such as speeding, distracted driving, etc.
- Administering the preventative maintenance of medical and non-medical equipment including developing and implementing a preventative maintenance program, performing monthly equipment inspections, scheduling third-party inspections and repairs, managing maintenance records
- Conducting probationary and annual ride-along with drivers
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and Ontario traffic laws
- Providing support and coverage for another manager's portfolio during an absence
- Assisting with any technology training and support i.e. AlayaCare, DriverMate
- Participating in the on-call rotation
- Reconciling direct reports' timesheets
- Interviewing, hiring, and training new employees, including maintaining an updated orientation binder, job manuals and procedures, learning plans, etc.
- Tracking and approving vacation/banked/day off to ensure department/program coverage
- Conducting probationary and subsequent performance and development reviews and work with employees towards setting future goals
- Feedback reports (investigation, follow up, and report completion)
- Incident and hazard reports (investigation, follow up, and report completion)
- Reporting of monthly quality improvement plan (QIP) indicators and initiatives
- Other duties assigned by the Director or CEO
Requirements
- Completion of a clean Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Screen
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the mechanical and transportation industries, with a strong understanding of related equipment, operations, maintenance practices, and industry standards
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience. Preference given to those with experience in the transportation or health care field
- Experience with internal databases required. Experience with AlayaCare is preferred
- Experience with seniors and individuals with disabilities, as well as with diverse populations
- Valid driver's license, clean driver's abstract, and access to a reliable vehicle
- Provide medical certificate stating immunizations are up to date
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite products required
