Residential Construction General Labourer

The Fifth Wall is a growing Custom Residential Home building company based in downtown Toronto seeking a labourer for full time employment. As a company we encourage growth and learning and intend the candidate to be exposed to a wide range of building practices. This is a position where over time the candidate will be expected to take on more responsibility as they gain practical work experience.

Requirements

The candidate should;

· Be physically fit, able to lift heavy loads and will be expected to work 8.5 hour work days.

· Possess a valid driver's licence and own a vehicle ( preferably a truck or van )

· Possess a basic knowledge of power tools and a general familiarity with residential construction sites.

· Own basic hand tools and personal jobsite safety equipment.

· Have a minimum 2 years of related work experience in residential construction.

· Have a proficiency in English both written and verbal.

· Be legally permitted to work in Canada.

· Possess a basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

· Reliable transportation to get to various job locations.

Working conditions

The candidate will be expected to take direction and supervision well and will be learning from other highly skilled team members. Our Company works Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm and occasionally on Saturdays. We expect a diligent professional attitude and a clean appearance at all times.

It is the intention of The Fifth Wall to train and develop the skills of the candidate and as such they should possess a willingness to learn and grow their skills with the goal of having a career within the construction industry. Regular performance reviews will be conducted to both access the candidate's development, professional goals and compensation.

The completion of courses in Building & Renovations would be a great asset.
