Maintenance Repairman

Repair Department Technician

We are looking for a competent, hands-on, and electronically savvy individual to manage and oversee our repair department.

The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical and electrical knowledge, and the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of restoration equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair restoration equipment, including but not limited to:
• • Dehumidifiers
  • Air movers
  • Electric motors
  • Compressors
  • Pumps
• Identify electrical and mechanical issues and determine appropriate repairs.
• Read and interpret electrical/electronic schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Test equipment and components to ensure proper operation and reliability.
• Maintain an organized repair department and keep track of equipment requiring service.
• Perform preventative maintenance and recommend replacement of components when necessary.
• Ensure repaired equipment is safe, functional, and ready for use.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience repairing restoration, industrial, HVAC, electrical, or similar equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Comfortable working with electrical components, motors, pumps, compressors, and control systems.
• Able to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and a practical, problem-solving mindset.
• Experience with restoration equipment is an asset.

Hours

Flexible schedule — approximately 20–40 hours per week, depending on workload and availability.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys diagnosing problems, figuring out how equipment works, and getting things back into working order.
