Primary Responsibilities:

• Work at a remote northern project site approximately four hours north of Terrace. This role offers a high degree of independence, with no daily requirement to report to a physical supervisor. Regular communication and coordination are maintained through phone and remote communication tools.
• Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of off-road construction equipment, on-highway tractor-trailers, light vehicles, small/medium diesel equipment, and off-highway vehicles not limited to:
  • Frame, steering and suspension systems – light duty, truck and transport & off-road
  • Hydraulic & air brake systems
  • Power train systems – truck and transport & off-road
  • Air conditioning systems
  • Vehicle electric diagnosis and failure analysis
  • Electronic and electrical systems
  • Hydraulics Engines – including diesel fuel injection
  • Charging & cranking systems
  • Use of Diesel Diagnostic Software

• Working on all makes/models of construction support equipment.
• Complete daily paperwork and participate in toolbox talks.
• Promote, execute, and adhere to the company's safety program.
• Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
• Order and maintain a parts inventory in accordance with workflow planned for future use.
• Plan scheduled shutdowns for regular maintenance and repairs
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Journeyperson certification as a Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician (Red Seal if out of Province).
• Journeyperson certification as a Automotive Mechanic (Red Seal if out of Province).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Committed to working in a safe and efficient manner.
• Excellent problem-solving skills required.
• Good analytical ability and manual dexterity.
• Successful candidates are required to have valid driver's license with clean driver's abstract.
• Must be able to complete all pre-access training as identified prior to mobilization.
• Must be able to successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing.

Work Location, Travel & Accommodation:

• Location: KSM Mine, British Columbia
• Schedule: 14 days on with 7 days off rotation OR 14 days on with 14 days off rotation
• Shift: Day Shift
• Hours: 6:00am to 6:30pm (Unpaid Lunch)
• Rate: Base $50.19 / Blended $58.97
• Camp accommodations provided at a newly developed executive camp featuring exceptional amenities

Additional Travel Details:

Local Applicants (Kitimat/Terrace): Employees are responsible for transportation to and from Terrace and will receive a $250 travel allowance each way. Travel from Terrace to site is approximately 4 hours each way and paid by the Company.

Non-Local: Company-arranged flights are provided to and from Terrace. Travel from Terrace to site is approximately 4 hours each way and paid by the Company. Day 14 includes an early departure from site (approximately 2:00 PM) to accommodate return travel.
