Profile Extrusion Operator – Operator AStatus: Full-Time Shift:

• Afternoon Shift | 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
• Night Shift | 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00/hour Location: Martingrove Rd & Steeles Ave West, Richmond Hill, ON Overtime opportunities available on weekends.
Important: Public transit does not operate during night shift hours. Reliable transportation is required.
We are looking for an experienced Profile Extrusion Operator (Operator A) to take the lead role on a profile extrusion line. This is a hands-on position responsible for line setup, die and tooling changeovers, troubleshooting, and quality control — a great fit for someone who wants more ownership over the process.
Key Responsibilities

• Start up and shut down the extrusion line
• Perform setup and changeovers of dies and tooling for production line changes
• Load raw material (resin/pellets) into the hopper
• Set and monitor machine parameters (temperature, speed, pressure) to specification
• Make real-time adjustments to keep dimensions and quality on spec
• Inspect the finished profile for defects and measure against tolerances
• Troubleshoot line issues (jams, dimension drift, surface defects) and escalate larger issues to maintenance
• Perform routine equipment upkeep, including cleaning and lubrication
• Record production data, downtime, and quality checks
• Guide and support Operator B team members on the line
• Follow all safety protocols around hot equipment and moving machinery

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 2+ years of profile extrusion or related plastics manufacturing experience required
• Hands-on experience with die and tooling changeovers
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read tape measures and perform basic shop math
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods on concrete floors
• Strong attendance and punctuality
• Certifications: None required; forklift certification is considered an asset.
