Richelieu Hardware is looking for a driven and customer-focused Industrial Sales Representative - for the Newfoundland territory.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and growing sales within your assigned territory by promoting Richelieu's extensive range of hardware products and solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their needs and delivering solutions that support their business success while driving Richelieu's continued growth
More specifically, the main responsibilities of the position are to:
• Sales Growth & Business Development: Proactively identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities within the Newfoundland and Labrador territory.
• Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.
• Product Expertise: Develop in-depth knowledge of Richelieu's product portfolio, including industrial hardware, woodworking hardware, construction-related products, and complementary solutions.
• Client Engagement & Sales Execution: Conduct in-person customer visits, product demonstrations, presentations, and negotiations to successfully close sales and develop new business.
• Territory Management: Manage and develop the assigned territory by planning regular customer visits, identifying sales opportunities, and maintaining strong market coverage across Newfoundland.
• Performance & Targets: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales objectives while maximizing profitability.
• Market & Competitive Intelligence: Monitor market trends, customer needs, industry developments, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless order processing, delivery, and prompt resolution of customer inquiries or concerns.
Requirements :
• 3–5 years of experience in outside sales and/or business development, with a proven ability to prospect and grow new accounts
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated, results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of the hardware, industrial, woodworking, construction, or related industries is an asset
• Strong customer relationship management and territory development skills
• Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Ability and willingness to travel within the assigned Newfoundland territory
• A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
• College degree in Marketing or a related field is considered an asset
