Job Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Bevel Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating beveling machinery to prepare and finish metal components according to production specifications, drawings, and quality standards. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with beveling equipment and be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate beveling machines and related equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Set up and adjust machines according to job specifications, drawings, and measurements.
  • Perform beveling, cutting, grinding, and edge preparation on metal components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and production specifications.
  • Measure finished components using measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and measuring tapes.
  • Inspect parts for correct dimensions, angles, bevel depth, and overall quality.
  • Make machine adjustments to maintain required specifications and production standards.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and report machine issues to the supervisor or maintenance team.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Complete production paperwork and quality inspection records as required.
  • Assist with material handling and other production duties when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Bevel Operator, Machine Operator, Metal Fabricator, or similar manufacturing role.
  • Experience operating beveling or metal edge-preparation equipment is an asset.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and measurements.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to use basic measuring tools accurately.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Previous experience working with steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or other metal materials is an asset.
