The Accounts Payable Specialist manages full-cycle accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, expenses, and payments in line with company policies and procedures. This role supports daily operations, month-end close, and audit activities while collaborating closely with internal teams and external vendors in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities- Review and process vendor invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Process employee expense reports through Concur, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Process corporate credit card transactions in line with established guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain accounts payable email inboxes to ensure timely responses to stakeholder inquiries.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly and accurately.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable trackers, records, and files for audit and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline accounts payable processes and improve efficiency.
- Process weekly and ad hoc payment runs, ensuring payments are accurate and on time.
- Assist in the month-end closing process, including preparation and review of accounts payable-related entries and reports.
- Track payments and expenditures for various internal reporting and analysis purposes.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Assist with special projects and other finance-related tasks as needed.
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable processes from invoice receipt through payment and reconciliation.
- Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders and external vendors to address errors, discrepancies, and inquiries.
- Provide customer-focused support to vendors and internal teams, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and professionally.
- Minimum 2 years of accounts payable experience, including invoice coding, processing, and working directly with vendors.
- Proven experience working in a medium-volume environment, processing at least 100 invoices per week.
- Strong accounts payable knowledge, including invoice processing and invoicing best practices.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry, analysis, and reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to speak confidently with external vendors to resolve errors and discrepancies.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all financial transactions and documentation.
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills related to invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
- Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.

- Experience in a retail environment.
- Experience working with purchase orders within an accounts payable function.
- Experience using Concur for expense management.
- Experience supporting audits and month-end activities.
- Exposure to accounting or ERP systems.

The role is based in an open work environment alongside a team of approximately 13 other transactional finance professionals, representing a mix of long-tenured and newer team members. The position follows a Monday to Friday schedule, totaling 40 hours per week, with flexible start times available. On-site parking is provided at no cost.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $60000.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
