Transport company looking for a full-time Heavy Duty Mechanic or 3rd-year apprentice!
Maintain service 8 trucks 30 trailers
Maintain, diagnose, and repair the trucks, trailers, forklifts, hydraulic systems, and support equipment behind Quantum Equipment's crane, heavy-haul, and machinery-moving work.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, service, and repair heavy trucks, trailers, forklifts, and field-support equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, braking, steering, suspension, and drivetrain concerns.
- Complete preventive maintenance and correct deficiencies before equipment is dispatched.
- Keep accurate service records and communicate repair priorities with operations and field crews.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow company and site safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Relevant heavy-duty equipment, truck, trailer, or industrial maintenance experience.
- Trade certification, apprenticeship training, and applicable licences are valued; include all current credentials with your application.
- Experience with hydraulics, electrical troubleshooting, cranes, forklifts, or specialized trailers is an asset.
- A practical, safety-first approach and the ability to work independently and with the wider crew.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
Schedule & location
Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with overtime when project needs require. This position is stationed at Quantum Equipment's Calgary shop at 2725 Bonnybrook Place SE.
