Line Coordinator / Lead Hand

We are hiring a Shift Supervisor / Lead Hand for a temp-to-full-time role in a production and packaging environment. This person will oversee a production line of approximately 16-18 employees and eventually run a crew independently. Job Description * Supervising approximately 16-18 employees on a production line * Overseeing daily production activities and keeping work on schedule * Giving clear instructions and supporting employees throughout the shift * Monitoring production output and helping meet required quotas * Coordinating labour and workflow to keep the line running efficiently * Training alongside the current supervisor and existing crew * Taking responsibility for a second crew once fully trained * Supporting the transition from one production shift to two * Maintaining strong communication with staff and management * Helping ensure daily production targets are met Requirements * Previous lead hand or production leadership experience * Food packaging or similar production experience preferred * Experience working in an SQF environment is an asset * Strong communication and people management skills * Comfortable supervising approximately 16-18 employees * Able to take responsibility and work independently * Flexible as the new shift schedule is established * Reliable, organized, and able to work at a fast pace * Comfortable working approximately 3-4 days per week * Day shift, 7:00 AM to 3:00-4:00 PM, 8-10 hours with some OT $21/hour to start, with bonuses Requirements: Shift: Must be flexible for day and afternoon shifts Work Location: In person Environment: Warehouse, distribution, copack, and food safety focused environment Special Instructions Notice will be provided for any shift changes Main responsibility will be learning one of the main production lines to act as backup and eventually run the afternoon shift Candidate may also be required to work in other areas of the warehouse depending on workload Must follow and communicate all health and safety rules to temporary staff Must understand and follow the company's Food Safety Policy and Food Safety Objectives Must ensure line workers follow proper food safety handling standards and procedures Must notify the appropriate coordinator or manager if a job may not be completed on time or if overtime may be required Accommodations are available upon request for all individuals with disabilities taking part in the recruitment and selection process.
