This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in producing quality products, and is eager to learn different areas of a manufacturing operation.As a General Laborer, you may be assigned to one department or rotate between departments based on production needs, making this an excellent opportunity to develop a variety of manufacturing skills.What You'll DoAs a General Laborer, you'll support daily manufacturing operations by assisting production teams where needed while maintaining Norstar's high standards for quality and safety.Responsibilities may include:Assist with manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly processesMove materials and components throughout the facilityOperate hand and power tools safely and effectivelySupport production teams in various departments as business needs requireMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaPerform quality checks on completed workFollow work instructions, production schedules, and company proceduresAssist with loading, unloading, packaging, or preparing products for shipmentPerform other general labour duties as assignedWhat We're Looking ForPrevious manufacturing, warehouse, or construction experience is an asset but not requiredWillingness to learn and work in different departments as neededStrong work ethic and positive attitudeReliable and dependable with excellent attendanceAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to follow instructions and safety proceduresPhysically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasksValid driver's license and reliable transportation requiredWhat Success Looks LikeWithin your first 6 to 12 months, you will:Become a dependable team member who can contribute wherever support is needed.Demonstrate a strong understanding of Norstar's safety and quality standards.Successfully learn multiple production processes and adapt to different departments.Consistently produce quality work while meeting productivity expectations.Build positive working relationships with supervisors and team members.Show initiative, reliability, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities.Why Join Norstar?Starting wage of $18.00 per hourRegular performance and wage reviews with opportunities for growthFour-day work week (Monday to Thursday)Three-day weekends every weekComprehensive benefits packageStable, family-owned manufacturing companyCross-training opportunities across multiple departmentsSupportive team environment with opportunities for career advancementAt Norstar, we believe exceptional products are built by exceptional people.
