Racking and Shelving Installer

Start HR Solutions is hiring a Permanent Racking and Shelving Installer for our client in Aurora ON. Our client is an industry leading provider of high-density storage solutions. Ranging from industrial racking, mobile shelving and lockers. Installation done in various institutional and industrial infrastructure within GTA and beyond.

Shift:

Monday to Friday

Client driven and shift times varies, depending on client requirements and project demands

Salary: $25 to $27 hourly wage

Job Duties:

• Assemble and install industrial racking, shelving, and locker systems at commercial and institutional client sites
• Work with installation crew, follow directions of the crew leader to ensure accurate and efficient project completion
• Handle components with care during assembly to ensure products are installed in excellent condition
• Use hand tools, power tools, laser levels, chalk lines, and measuring tools to execute precise layouts and installations
• Operate scissor lifts or other elevated work platforms for high-bay racking, mobile shelving, and tall vertical storage system installations as required
• Work effectively in occupied facilities such as schools, hospitals, and government buildings, minimizing disruption to client operations
• Drive a 5-ton truck or cube van to transport products and equipment to job sites
• Conduct loading and unloading at client sites in a safe and efficient manner
• Maintain the delivery vehicle in a clean and roadworthy condition
• Report any vehicle maintenance or safety concerns to the Operations Manager
• Represent the company professionally at all client sites and adhere to site-specific protocols.
• Assist with installation of automated storage systems (vertical lift modules, carousels) and mobile racking systems as required, which may involve extended work at significant heights on elevated platforms
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies at all times
• Assist with general warehouse and facility upkeep as needed

Requirements:

• 3-5 years' experience installing industrial racking, shelving and lockers
• Proficient use of hand and power tools
• Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklift and scissors lift
• Experience and comfortable working at heights (10+ ft) on ladders, scissor lifts and elevated platforms
• Physically fit, ability to push, carry and lift over 50 lbs
• Valid Ontario G driver's license with clean driver's abstract
• Experience operating 5-ton truck or cube van
• Must be eligible for Canadian Reliability Clearance (required for work at government or secure client sites)
• Detailed oriented professional who values precision and takes immense pride in high-quality output
• Collaborative team player who takes direction well and executes plans directed from crew leaders
• Strong communication skills
