About the Role
We're looking for a Nutrient Management Consultant to support our Land Application programs across Central and Southern Ontario. Wessuc manages the responsible application of over 450,000 m³ of organic material each year, helping transform waste into valuable agricultural resources. This is a hands-on role that combines agriculture, environmental stewardship, and relationship management. You will:
  • Support existing farm partners and develop new relationships within our Land Application programs;
  • Complete field assessments, soil sampling, and site inspections to support compliant applications; Prepare and submit Non-Agricultural Source Material (NASM) plans;
  • Coordinate application schedules with farmers and operations teams to align with crop needs and regulatory requirements;
  • Provide guidance and support to farmers, landowners, and community stakeholders.
  • Regularly travel (approximately 3–4 days per week) to client and field locations. A company vehicle is provided.
About You
We're looking for a self-motivated, relationship-focused individual who enjoys working independently and spending time in the field. Your skills and experience include:
  • Diploma or degree in Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, or a related field; hands-on farming experience is also considered;
  • Knowledge of Ontario's Nutrient Management regulations and environmental compliance requirements;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills;
  • Experience with farming practices and field operations;
  • Comfortable working with technology, mapping tools, and aerial imagery;
  • Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record;
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including occasional early mornings, evenings, and travel throughout Central and Southern Ontario.
