This position supports people with intellectual disabilities with all aspects of their daily living. Duties may include support with finances, medical appointments, personal care, household duties, meal preparation, and supporting individuals to get ready for their daily activities as per their individual choices or plans. This is a full-time contract position up to one year, with the possibility of extension.
The minimum starting rate of pay is $25.66 per hour.
The role is based in Barrie, ON, with a biweekly schedule of up to 72 hours.
A certificate from an accredited facility in elder care, health care, or social services; experience with independent elder populations or geriatric care is an asset; good Microsoft Office and database skills; a current clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening; valid Class G driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Duties include medication administration and records, providing personal care per support plans, liaising with other care professionals, light housekeeping and meal preparation, and supporting individuals during daily activities.
