Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and mechanically inclined Millwright to join our maintenance team. This is a hands-on role responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving a variety of manufacturing equipment and production machinery.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment, and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and equipment reliability. A 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) License is ideal.

Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment Maintenance & Repair
  • Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility machinery.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify root causes of equipment failures.

  • Repair, replace, and adjust mechanical components including bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, motors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and support timely resolution to minimize production downtime.

  • Install, align, level, and commission new machinery and equipment.

  • Perform equipment inspections and identify opportunities to improve reliability and performance.

  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.

Preventative Maintenance
  • Execute scheduled preventative maintenance tasks and inspections.

  • Assist in developing and improving preventative maintenance procedures.

  • Identify worn or damaged components before failures occur.

  • Support equipment reliability initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Safety & Continuous Improvement
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Participate in 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Assist with equipment modifications, upgrades, and plant improvement projects.

  • Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and maintenance team members to improve operational performance.

Qualifications
  • Valid Ontario 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) License preferred.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of millwright experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.

  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.

  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, and rotating equipment systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.

  • Welding and fabrication experience considered an asset.

  • Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation and work orders.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
