Mechanical Engineer (Analysis & Validation)Primary Purpose
Perform engineering analysis and validation activities to ensure designs meet structural, thermal, fatigue, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Suggested Responsibilities- Perform advanced engineering calculations supporting mechanical system and equipment designs.
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) including structural, thermal, fatigue, vibration, and stability assessments.
- Develop analytical models and validate simulation results through hand calculations and testing.
- Establish design criteria, safety factors, and engineering assumptions for new product development.
- Prepare engineering reports documenting methodologies, calculations, results, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Lead technical design reviews and provide engineering recommendations for design optimization.
- Evaluate compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate product failures, root causes, and corrective actions.
- Support prototype testing programs and correlate test data with analytical predictions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to improve product performance and reliability.
- Provide technical mentoring and guidance to junior engineers and designers.
- Review and approve engineering calculations and technical analyses as delegated by the Engineering Manager.
