Spray Painter/ Grinder

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Perform pre-shift inspection.
• Grinding of frames and doors.
• Operate, clean, and maintain all painting equipment.
• Utilize spray gun.
• Body fill: screens, windows, transoms, doors, frames.
• Apply glass stops on screen windows.
• Use a variety of hand tools and machines.
• Operate sandblasting machine to clean surface prior to painting or coating.
• Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers using caulking guns or putty knives.
• Read work orders or receive instructions from supervisor to determine work requirements.
• Utilize all types of painting material.
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Ability to lift 22 kg/50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Be in your current position for a period of at least six (6) months, unless this position cannot be filled internally by another employee who meets this requirement.
• Have no disciplinary record for the previous six (6) months of employment.
• Have a good attendance/timekeeping record for the previous six (6) months of employment.
• Be willing and able to successfully complete training deemed appropriate for the position.
