We are seeking a reliable Flatbed Truck Driver to join our team, specializing in local route deliveries of steel coils, steel sheets, lumber, and soil. This role involves managing flatbed loading and securing cargo safely for transport while complying with safety regulations. Drivers can expect to spend about two nights per week away from home and will be supported with onboard GPS navigation and electronic logging devices to ensure efficient and compliant deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Load and secure cargo on flatbed trailers following safety standards
- Plan and execute local delivery routes efficiently
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation
- Coordinate delivery schedules and communicate with dispatch
- Adhere to safety regulations and compliance requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience driving flatbed trucks
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean driving record
- Current CVOR and driver's abstract
- Letter of experience covering at least 2 years
- Demonstrated proficiency in flatbed truck operation and cargo securing techniques
- Strong knowledge of vehicle inspection and safety regulations
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
