Material Handler

Location: Vaughan, ON
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:40 PM
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our client's team. This position plays a key role in supporting inventory management, material movement, and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, inspect, and store incoming materials.
  • Pick and pack orders accurately using pick lists or scanning systems.
  • Stage materials for production and shipping.
  • Label, tag, and organize inventory in designated locations.
  • Perform inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock audits.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and data entry.
  • Report damaged, missing, or incorrect materials to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and workplace regulations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 0–2 years of experience in warehouse, manufacturing, inventory, or material handling environments.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and inventory tracking.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, packing slips, labels, and safety instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Computer Skills

  • Strong computer and data entry skills.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is an asset.
  • Experience with barcode scanners and inventory software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email communication.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including safety shoes, gloves, and safety glasses.
