Job Summary
We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our client's team. This position plays a key role in supporting inventory management, material movement, and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, inspect, and store incoming materials.
- Pick and pack orders accurately using pick lists or scanning systems.
- Stage materials for production and shipping.
- Label, tag, and organize inventory in designated locations.
- Perform inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock audits.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and data entry.
- Report damaged, missing, or incorrect materials to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and workplace regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- 0–2 years of experience in warehouse, manufacturing, inventory, or material handling environments.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and inventory tracking.
- Ability to read and understand work orders, packing slips, labels, and safety instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Computer Skills
- Strong computer and data entry skills.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is an asset.
- Experience with barcode scanners and inventory software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email communication.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
- Ability to wear required PPE, including safety shoes, gloves, and safety glasses.
