What Youll Do

Youll be the go-to technician for commercial kitchen fire suppression systems. Responsibilities include:

  • Installing, inspecting, testing, and servicing fire suppression systems on land-based and marine facilities
  • Mounting and aligning nozzles, piping, cylinders, detection lines, and system components
  • Troubleshooting system issues and performing repairs or upgrades as needed
  • Verifying system activation, shutdowns, and interlocks (gas/electric)
  • Maintaining accurate service records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation
  • Communicating findings and recommendations professionally with customers
  • Ensuring all work meets NFPA standards, fire codes, manufacturer requirements, and company quality expectations
  • Participating in on-call rotations and occasional travel as required

This role combines hands-on technical work, problem-solving, customer interaction, and opportunities to take ownership of projects.

What You Bring

  • Minimum 2+ years of field experience in fire suppression, mechanical, HVAC, marine systems, or related trades
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort with basic electrical systems
  • Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
  • Professionalism and customer-service orientation
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, travel, and on-call assignments
  • Valid drivers license
  • Knowledge of NFPA standards and fire codes preferred
  • Fire service certifications or suppression training considered an asset
