The Lift Truck Operator is primarily responsible for safely operating basic powered Material Handling Equipment (MHE) for the purpose of accurate product receipt, storage, and other fulfillment. Additionally, the Lift Truck Operator is accountable to become cross-functional for other distribution duties that include:

  • Receiving
  • Picking
  • Packing
  • Shipping
  • Return processing of products

These duties are performed to meet high company standards of safety, security, and productivity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Load and unload pallets and cases from trucks by hand or equipment.
  • Full case order picking for replenishment, customer orders, and packaging components.
  • Move pallets of goods for jobs in process to appropriate areas.
  • Retrieve pallets of finished jobs or goods and put them away in a narrow aisle rack storage system.
  • Maneuver a forklift and/or pallet jack safely and efficiently through limited space areas.
  • Verify counts and products received while efficiently stacking and storing them in the appropriate area.
  • Process domestic and international small parcel shipments on shipping systems, such as UPS and FedEx.
  • Maintain accuracy of all transactions by performing daily cycle counts.
  • Perform quality control on the product to ensure there is no damage and/or infestation.
  • Sort, build, and wrap product to pallets to ensure compliance with customer's expectations.
  • Operate Radio Frequency (RF) terminals to ensure accurate local inventories.
