Your Impact at LAURIN

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the endtoend delivery of ICI construction projects, overseeing all phases from preconstruction through closeout. Working within a general contracting environment, you will lead multidisciplinary project teams, coordinate consultants and trade partners, and maintain full accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety. This role requires strong leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to manage complex projects while fostering client relationships and upholding the companys operational standards and culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage multiple construction project simultaneously, ensuring they are meeting quality, budgetary and timeline targets.
  • Collaborate with senior management, stakeholders, and department heads to identify resource needs and priorities.
  • Be fully accountable for project budgets, cost estimates, and forecasts, tracking expenditures and ensuring adherence to project goals.
  • Oversee project procurement, trade partner selection, and contract negotiations to optimize cost-efficiency, quality, and relationship management.
  • Lead project teams, including internal project teams, external stakeholders, trade partners to ensure clear communication and coordination.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities to assist where required to secure permits and their related approvals.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, quality, safety and project team health.
  • Prepare monthly project status reports for internal & external stakeholders.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to handle unforeseen issues and/or delays.
  • Implement Laurin standard operating processes across all construction projects which are under their oversight.
  • Supervise the commissioning and handover procedures, guaranteeing that projects meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Assists with pursuits, pre-construction planning and bid-closing.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations and lessons-learned sessions to continuously improve the construction process and knowledge transfer.
  • Mentor, coach and give feedback to direct reports.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to manager on performance related matters.
  • Be a brand ambassador and Laurin cultural leader.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience leading ICI projects.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office, MS Project, Primavera, Adobe-Pro, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and regulations. Experience with construction-specific HR challenges such as union relations and safety compliance is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

Education & Professional Credentials

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related experience.
  • Professional certifications such as P.Eng, PMP, LEED, are considered assets.

Eligibility & Security Requirements

At LAURIN, many of our projects require specific employment and security conditions. To be considered, candidates must:

  • Be legally authorized to work in Canada. Please note that LAURIN does not provide or assume sponsorship for work permits or visas.
  • Be eligible to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance (Secret clearance is considered an asset).
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of authorization to work in Canada (e.g., valid work permit or Social Insurance Number). All offers of employment are conditional upon obtaining the required security clearance.

Estimated Compensation

The salary range for this role is $100,000 $130,000, based on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed in your personalized offer.
