Job Description

J Dass Corp is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Officer to join our team in Vaughan, Ontario. The ideal candidate will support all core Human Resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and HR administration. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building a strong workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.

  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation in accordance with company policies and employment legislation.

  • Support employee onboarding, orientation, and training programs.

  • Assist with performance management processes and employee development initiatives.

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and workplace matters.

  • Coordinate employee relations activities and assist with conflict resolution when required.

  • Ensure compliance with Ontario employment standards, workplace policies, and health and safety regulations.

  • Support payroll administration by maintaining accurate employee information and records.

  • Prepare HR reports, workforce data, and other administrative documentation.

  • Assist with employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and company events.

  • Support continuous improvement of HR processes and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum 2–5 years of Human Resources experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA) and HR best practices.

  • Experience with recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Experience with HRIS systems is an asset.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • CHRP designation or working toward certification is considered an asset.

  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
