About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced, delivery-focused Senior Functional Lead / Pod Partner to drive excellence across our NetSuite practice while remaining deeply involved in client execution and solution design .

This is a hands-on individual contributor role, not a co-lead or administrative people-manager position . You will partner directly with our Senior Technical Consultants to own the functional side of a diverse client portfolio . You will act as a strategic functional authority during pre-sales and a relentless, self-directed execution engine during delivery—ensuring high-quality output, closing loops quietly, and building trust with stakeholders .

Key Responsibilities

• Own the Functional Lifecycle: Act as the Functional Lead on complex NetSuite implementations, owning end-to-end solution design, discovery workshops, and business process mapping .
• Drive Account Execution: Manage the functional requirements across a diverse, active portfolio ranging from enterprise accounts with strict polish requirements to agile owner-operator wholesale businesses .
• Design Scalable Processes: Build and configure robust solutions across core financials and operational streams (O2C, P2P, R2R), ensuring a solid data foundation for downstream workflows .
• Relentless Loop-Closing: Proactively pick up tasks, drive them to status changes, and independently push through roadblocks with minimal senior oversight .

• Shape New Business: Partner with leadership and sales teams to scope, shape, and win new deals .
• Lead Solution Design: Run pre-sales client presentations, standard/custom demos, and workshops .
• Define Engagement Parameters: Establish clear implementation approaches, timelines, scope guardrails, and level-of-effort (LOE) estimates .
• Build Early Credibility: Act as the functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) in client conversations, communicating comfortably with executive enterprise stakeholders and technical authorities alike .

• Technical Alignment: Work closely with Technical Leads and Integration teams to align functional configurations with scripting, integration tools (e.g., Boomi, Celigo), and technical architecture .
• Project Management Instinct: Actively manage cadence on delivery status, change orders, and budget signals to mitigate risk across fixed-fee and T&M engagements .
• Low-Ego Pod Dynamic: Operate as the second voice in client meetings when required, bringing questions and proposals to technical peers privately, and executing seamlessly once a strategic direction is set .

• Establish Standards: Lead and evolve our Functional Center of Excellence (CoE), establishing best practices, methodologies, templates, and reusable assets .
• Quality Assurance: Conduct design reviews and support cross-functional alignment to ensure consistency across all functional deliverables .
• Mentor & Elevate: Guide Senior Functional Consultants, elevating their configuration skills, client-comms range, and self-directed research habits .

Qualifications

• 5 to 8+ years of hands-on NetSuite Functional Consulting experience (We are looking for an active builder, not a disconnected supervisor) .
• Deep Configuration Fluency: Expert-level mastery of NetSuite custom fields, custom records, advanced forms, workflows, roles/permissions, CSV imports, saved searches, and SuiteQL .
• Technical Literacy: Ability to read and understand code (User Event scripts, Suitelets, XML SDF manifests, Celigo flow JSON) well enough to scope functional impacts accurately without writing production code yourself .
• Independent Research Instinct: A default posture to investigate unfamiliar domains (e.g., GxP validation, localized tax engines, specialized integrations, CPQ) via SuiteAnswers, sandboxes, and documentation before escalating .
• High Delivery-to-Talk Ratio: A proven track record of shipping output and closing loops quietly rather than over-narrating status or administrative tasks .
• Exceptional Client-Comms Range: Ability to adapt your tone and delivery style seamlessly between enterprise corporate stakeholders and independent business owners .

Nice to Have

• Prior experience working within a fast-paced NetSuite Partner or consulting firm environment .
• Experience with multi-entity, global implementations, or localized operations .
• Familiarity with third-party automation, FreightPop TMS, Celigo, or advanced reporting solutions .
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus
