Our Client

Our client is one of Edmonton's leading residential property management companies, with plans to expand further in AB and into BC. They are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to help strengthen their financial operations and support their continued growth.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Owner, the Accounting Manager will lead the accounting function, oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, while supporting the accounting team and driving process improvements.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and wants to be a key business partner to leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reporting.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
  • Support and mentor the accounting team while remaining hands-on when required.
  • Identify efficiencies, cost-saving opportunities, and process improvements.
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls.
  • Partner with ownership to provide financial insights and support business growth initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of extensive QuickBooks Online experience (required).
  • Strong experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • CPA designation is an asset but not required.
  • Property management, real estate, or multi-entity experience is an asset.
