Progesys is looking for a Project Control Coordinator for a mining project in Vancouver.

Main Responsibilities

The Project Controls Coordinator supports the implementation and maintenance of project control tools, systems, and work processes to effectively monitor and report project costs, schedules, and progress. The role works closely with project teams to ensure accurate reporting, data analysis, and alignment with project objectives.

  • Support the development and implementation of project control plans as part of the Project Execution Plan (PEP)
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, cost reports, and baseline estimates
  • Perform cost control, progress measurement, planning updates, and collection of project performance data
  • Monitor and analyze variances in costs and schedules against project baselines and support the preparation of mitigation plans
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
  • Track project changes and assist in evaluating impacts on cost and schedule
  • Participate in project risk identification and monitoring activities
  • Prepare and maintain project control reports, dashboards, KPIs, and progress updates for project management and clients
  • Collaborate with project teams, engineering, procurement, construction, and contractors to ensure accurate project tracking and reporting
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to project controls tools, systems, and processes

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in project controls, project coordination, cost control, or planning
  • Experience working on industrial, mining, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects
  • Knowledge of project controls principles including cost control, scheduling, progress measurement, and forecasting
  • Familiarity with project execution phases including engineering, procurement, and construction
  • Experience with project control tools and systems (Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, Power BI, or similar)
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and reporting tools
