What are the Responsibilities?The successful Maintenance Supervisor will lead a team of about 8 technicians (plus thirdparty contractors) in an established facility close to New Westminster, where their voice and leadership will truly shape the future of the maintenance department.
  • Supervise and coach a team of up to 10 tradespeople and technicians.
  • Set expectations around safety, quality, performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Hold people accountable with fairness and clarity - no ironfist leadership here.
  • Run weekly safety and performance huddles.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Setup, Warehouse, and other departments.
  • Ensure training, support, and job assignments are clear and wellresourced.
  • Help build a workplace culture where people are engaged, proud, and performing at their best.
  • Lead and coordinate maintenance activities across all shifts.
  • Plan and schedule preventive maintenance using MaintainX (CMMS).
  • Manage new equipment setups and major improvement projects.
  • Ensure spare parts inventory is maintained and optimized.
  • Troubleshoot alongside your team, providing real, hands-on technical coaching.
  • Validate completed work to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Analyze recurring issues and eliminate root causes with crossfunctional support.
  • Build maintenance plans for weekend work and larger projects.

What are the Requirements?MustHaves:
  • 2–3+ years of maintenance leadership experience (Supervisor or Lead level).
  • Strong technical background in electromechanical systems, power engineering, or related engineering disciplines.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment is preferred.
  • Ability to coach technicians technically, not just administratively.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
  • CMMS experience (MaintainX or similar).
  • Individuals who value and lead with kindness, communication, and collaboration

Education (any of the following):
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Industrial Technology
  • Equivalent demonstrated technical expertise; experience & technical abilities are more important than formal education
Bonus points for:
  • Red Seal Millwright or Electrician
  • Experience with/knowledge of controls, automation, AC drives, MCCs, instrumentation
  • Boiler, HVAC, refrigeration experience
