Company Overview

Our client is a reputable and growing General Contractor delivering commercial, retail, industrial, and office construction projects across Ontario. With a strong pipeline of work and repeat clients, they are seeking an experienced Superintendent to join their team and oversee projects throughout the province.

Position Summary

The Superintendent will be responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills, as projects may vary in size and complexity across multiple sectors.

Travel within Ontario is required depending on project location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day site operations from mobilization to project close-out

  • Coordinate and supervise all trades and subcontractors

  • Develop and manage short-term lookahead schedules

  • Ensure compliance with Ontario health & safety regulations and company policies

  • Conduct site meetings and maintain daily site reports

  • Monitor quality control and ensure work aligns with drawings and specifications

  • Maintain project schedule and proactively address delays

  • Coordinate inspections and occupancy requirements

  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, consultants, and clients

  • Maintain clean, organized, and efficient job sites

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of Superintendent experience in commercial, retail, industrial, or office construction

  • Proven ability to manage multiple trades and fast-paced projects

  • Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code and safety regulations

  • Experience managing projects from start to finish

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications

  • Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.) is an asset

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel across Ontario
