Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced, proactive, and energetic Service Manager to lead and grow our Service Department. The main responsibilities include maximizing shop productivity, developing strategic partnerships, fostering positive employee relationships, optimizing costs, and achieving established targets and KPIs. Reporting directly to the VP of Fixed Operations, the Service Manager works closely with all areas of the business to ensure customer satisfaction, operational efficiency and profitability, while driving a positive change and shared growth across the team and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively grow the service business by bringing in new customers and increasing department revenue
- Identify and implement strategic opportunities for improvement in department processes
- Manage the daily operations of the service department
- Schedule and assign work to technicians to ensure timely, high-quality repairs
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business
- Monitor and control department expenses, budgets, and KPIs, with a strong focus on gross profit growth
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop service technicians and advisors
- Collaborate with sales teams, Dueck Auto Group management teams, support departments, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations

Qualifications:
- 3+ years in a service manager or supervisory role (truck, automotive, or equipment repair)
- Proven track record of increasing revenue, bringing in new business, or growing a service department
- Strong knowledge of medium-duty truck systems and repairs
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in service management software and the Microsoft Office Suite
Logistical Requirements:
This is a full-time position at the Dueck Downtown location. The position may require working extended hours, including weekends, in order to meet deadlines based on the needs of the business. Professional attire is required (business casual dress code).
