Asphalt Labourer

Integrated Staffing is currently seeking reliable and hardworking Asphalt Labourers for our client based out of Berry Mills, NB. This is a physically demanding, hands on role ideal for candidates with previous paving experience who enjoy working outdoors in a fast paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Compact gravel, soil, and asphalt edges using appropriate equipment
• Cut asphalt, concrete, and curbing for repairs and tie-ins
• Clean and prepare surfaces prior to paving and line painting
• Rake and redistribute asphalt mix after it comes off the screed to prepare for rolling
• Spread and smooth asphalt to ensure proper surface finish
• Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials
• Maintain a clean and safe worksite by removing excess asphalt and debris
• Assist paving crews with daily site operations as required
• Follow all company safety procedures and site regulations

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in the paving industry preferred
• Previous asphalt or paving experience required
• Experience operating jumping jacks, plate compactors, jackhammers, concrete saws, and other power tools
• Ability to work long hours in various weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Good communication and time management skills

Requirements

• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Reliable transportation to and from the work site
• Ability to perform physically demanding labour and lift heavy materials as required
• CSA-approved steel-toed boots
• CSA-approved hard hat
• High-visibility vest
• Eye and ear protection

What We Offer

• Pay: $22.00/hour + 4% vacation pay
• Work conducted at various sites in and around Moncton, NB
• Early morning start times between 5:30 AM – 7:00 AM
• 10–12 hour shifts with overtime and weekend work expected
• Weekly pay through Integrated Staffing
