Reporting to the SVP, Finance, this role leads financial operations, ensures accurate and compliant reporting, partners across the organization, and provides leadership to the finance team to support value‑added business decisions.

Our Calgary-based client is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to oversee all accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. Reporting to the SVP, Finance, this role leads financial operations, ensures accurate and compliant reporting, partners across the organization, and provides leadership to the finance team to support value‑added business decisions.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
- Lead, coach, and manage the finance team across corporate/project reporting, payroll, invoicing, AP, and fixed assets
- Oversee month‑end close and prepare accurate divisional and consolidated financial statements under ASPE
- Develop and monitor internal controls and process improvements
- Manage year‑end audit deliverables and liaison with external auditors
- Analyze monthly financial and project cost results
- Serve as in‑house ERP system expert and technology lead
- Oversee ERP training, design, and implementation
- Prepare and support annual budgets and forecasts
- Oversee financial reporting for related entities
- CPA designation with previous industry experience
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and internal controls.
- Experience in implementing or optimizing ERP's to support financial processes, reporting, and analysis.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a leadership role
- Energy services industry experience (asset)
- Demonstrated leader who fosters teamwork, transparency, and development
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
