We're looking for two skilled HR professionals to join a team on a 6-month contract and play a key role in strengthening our talent acquisition and HR operations. If you thrive in fast-moving environments and enjoy building meaningful partnerships across the business, this opportunity offers the chance to make an impact in a growing organization within the sustainable energy sector. Each role has its own area of focus: one centered on engineering recruitment, the other on business and operational roles, allowing you to bring your expertise where it matters most.1. Engineering Recruitment
  • Extensive experience recruiting for engineering, technical, and manufacturing roles.
  • Ability to source, attract, and assess candidates for technical roles across Canada and the U.S.
  • Familiarity with engineering talent pipelines, technical assessments, and candidate evaluation metrics.
2. Accounting, Project Management, and Operations Recruitment
  • Experience recruiting for accounting, finance, project management, and operations roles.
  • Ability to understand the requirements of functional business roles and partner with internal teams to identify talent needs.
  • Skilled in candidate assessment for professional and operational roles across multiple locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES (for both roles):
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending offers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and internal teams to understand role requirements.
  • Develop talent pipelines for both active and passive candidates.
  • Support HR operations, including onboarding, employee records management, and HRIS administration.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, employment legislation, and compliance.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives, performance management, and workplace culture programs.
  • Participate in HR-related projects, events, and recruitment campaigns as needed.
  • Support compliance with labor laws in Canada and the U.S., including documentation and policy updates.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressive HR experience; CHRP/CHRL or in-progress designation is preferred.
  • Proven experience recruiting for either engineering/technical roles or accounting, project management, or operations roles, depending on the position.
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and digital recruitment platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data analysis).
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Experience supporting multi-site organizations, manufacturing, or start-up environments is an asset.
What this role offers:
  • Exciting opportunity to support a growing company in the sustainable energy sector.
  • Hands-on, impactful HR experience across diverse roles and departments.
  • Potential for contract extension based on performance.
If you're ready to bring your HR expertise to a team that values collaboration, adaptability, and thoughtful problem-solving, we'd love to hear from you. This contract offers the chance to contribute to important hiring initiatives, support key HR functions, and help shape the employee experience as the company continues to grow. We welcome applicants who are eager to step into a meaningful role and make a practical, day-to-day impact.
