Our established industrial manufacturing and servicing client with operations is looking to significantly enhance its Quality Management programs and performance across 3+ plus entities on multiple sites in Canada, the USA and the ME. To lead this QA transformation our client is looking for an exceptional Director - Quality Assurance (QA) & Engineering Systems (ES) likely North American based who has proven QA Program development and continual improvement leadership expertise.

Ideal QA & Engineering Systems Director candidates will likely have many of the following attributes:

• SPE / PEng designation (or eligible) with 10+ years progressive QA technical & leadership experience is required - plus ES experience would be ideal but not essential
• Some solid engineering equipment design & manufacturing of rotating equipment &/or medical devices would be a preferred
• Progressive and proven QA Program development & maintenance expertise - within a QA team, and at least some solid leadership experience
• Experience managing and developing quality assurance management ISO 9001 system(s) or equivalent - bonus also leading successful ISO 9001 Registration / Certification
• Effectively managing a compliant Engineering System and an ISO 9001 system
• Strong mechanical engineering experience with either machine design, hydraulic engineering experience or both - some metallurgical knowledge would be an asset
• Demonstrated ability to develop an engineering team capable of defining engineering plans, processes, due diligence activities, QC of engineering, and engineering records management
• Lead the development of an effective engineering program - establishing PM and design control methodologies at the system level
• Comfortable in project-by-project engagement in assessing the definition of appropriate due diligence, determining competency gaps and rectification, review of work completed
• Comfortable being the Responsible Engineer on the engineering systems & methodologies
• Strong coaching and mentoring abilities, and you build and foster strong, trusting relationships
• Solid communication skills
