About the Role:

We're seeking a skilled Door Technician with mechanical aptitude and welding experience to support the installation, repair, and maintenance of doors, gates, and dock systems. Approximately 20% of the work will require out-of-town travel, including underground projects. All required training and site certifications will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial/industrial doors, gate systems, and dock equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
  • Utilize welding and mechanical skills for on-site repairs and modifications
  • Maintain vehicle and equipment inventory readiness
  • Accurately record time logs, service notes, and completion details
  • Deliver professional customer support to clients and contractors
  • Comply with all safety standards and workplace protocols
  • Participate in ongoing training and development sessions

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with mechanical systems, doors, gates, or similar equipment
  • Welding experience required (certification is a plus but not mandatory)
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Skilled with power tools and capable of physical, hands-on work
  • Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing job sites and schedules
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must pass a background check
