Financial Accountant

We are conducting a search on behalf of a large, global manufacturing client for aFinancial Accountant to join their team in South Surrey, BC. This is a hybrid opportunity offering meaningful work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a supportive team and strong leadership.

About the Role

As the Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining the general ledger, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with tax and payroll requirements. Youll work closely with the General Manager and Group CFO, contributing to accurate forecasting and reporting across multiple time zones.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger
• Prepare and submit financial reports and forecasts
• Ensure compliance with GST/PST and payroll regulations
• Utilize ERP systems and advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
• Collaborate with junior accounting staff on day-to-day operations
• Support payroll processing (ADP) and month-end close activities
• Meet tight deadlines and reporting requirements across global entities

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP essential)
• Experience with ERP systems and ADP payroll preferred
• Knowledge of Canadian tax compliance (GST/PST)
• CPA designation not required, but considered an asset
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
