We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our Equipment Division. This role will be based in Mississauga, Ontario, at CompreVac Inc. and report to the Sales Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering Ontario's industrial segment and representing a range of products, including PD Blowers, Vacuum Pumps, Air Compressors, Air Treatment Products, High-Pressure Compressors, and Nitrogen/Oxygen Generation Systems.
The selected candidate will have a mission to maximize sales of designated products to both existing and new customers through relentless sales prospecting activities focused on the assigned markets. They will be responsible for ensuring that related sales targets are met in terms of unit sales and revenue generation, while also giving due attention to the highest price realization. The successful candidate will also prepare and present quotes, proposals, pricing, and credit terms to customers, increase market share in the assigned territory and ensure proper and professional follow-up of customers/prospects operating within the assigned territory.
They will also be responsible for understanding and gathering information about the market potential, competitors' activities, and new applications, and constantly reporting these to the immediate manager. They will need to cooperate closely with other sales representatives in the company to ensure the best customer experience, generate and assign leads, and share information, and best practices. Furthermore, they will need to promote CompreVac s core values of customer productivity, humility, and integrity in the marketplace while achieving or exceeding assigned sales goals by developing action plans and schedules to identify specific sales prospects, targets, and/or markets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the technical selling of industrial equipment and must have a strong ability to close orders. They should have a good understanding of, and experience implementing, sales territory management, as well as experience in completing RFQs (requests for quotes) and dealing with engineering firms, resellers, purchasers, end-users, etc., as is knowledge of the compressed air industry and its applications. The successful candidate should possess excellent communication skills with the ability to make technical presentations, be computer savvy (Microsoft Office, Teams, etc.), and have a proven track record of being a self-starter, a team player who requires minimum supervision, and who can coordinate efforts to achieve sales targets.
In summary, the successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills and be good at following up with customers, great at creating contacts and networking (be where the customers are), possess excellent problem-solving skills, and have a self-motivated individual whose goal is always to surpass set targets. It should be noted that this position is open to all, and CompreVac Inc. serves customers through innovative Air Compressors, Vacuum Pumps, System Solutions, and PD Blowers generators, representing globally known brands. Education:
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or other technical area or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
