Our client is a long-standing bakery products manufacturer serving major retailers across Canada, including Save-On-Foods, 7/11, Sobeys, and Walmart. With key product categories that include deli, baked goods and cakes, savoury offerings, and cookies, the company is positioned for meaningful growth and is preparing for its first senior leadership transition within their new ownership environment. As part of this evolution, we are partnering with them to identify their next President.
Some of what you will do in this role includes:
• Lead the organization through a period of thoughtful change, bringing a clear vision and a strategic plan that positions the company for long-term success.
• Build and strengthen a people-first culture as you join a family-oriented business that values relationships, communication, and respect.
• Assess the current operational footprint and guide the business toward modern systems, scalable processes, and best practices that enable efficiency and growth.
• Oversee multi-facility operations or a large, complex manufacturing network, ensuring strong performance, food safety, and continuous improvement across all sites.
• Partner closely with retail customers across key product categories to ensure quality, consistency, innovation, and reliable production outcomes.
• Develop and empower a strong senior leadership team, fostering alignment, accountability, and a shared vision for the future.
To be successful, you should have the following in your background:
• A food industry background as a seasoned operational or commercial executive; baking, deli, savoury goods, or ready-to-eat product experience is an asset.
• A track record as a well-rounded change leader able to think big, guide transformation, and communicate a clear and compelling strategy.
• Experience overseeing large-scale or multi-site manufacturing operations.
• A leadership style grounded in people-first principles, with the ability to build trust while introducing necessary systems and improvements.
• Strong understanding of modern processes, technology, and operational best practices within food manufacturing.
• Openness to relocating to British Columbia if currently based elsewhere; candidates across Canada are encouraged to express interest.
This role is based in the Vancouver Lower Mainland. Compensation will reflect the scope of the role and the executive-level experience you bring.
