The Alberta Territory Sales Representative will oversee a well-established, top-performing region that contributes significantly to the company's Canadian success. You'll have the autonomy to run the territory as your own business, managing strong existing relationships with retail partners while developing new opportunities in underserved markets.
You'll act as a key ambassador for the brand, ensuring retail partners are equipped with the tools, training, and merchandising support they need to succeed.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow sales with existing retail partners throughout Alberta.
  • Identify and pursue new retail business opportunities in emerging or underrepresented markets.
  • Provide product and sales training to retail store staff, including merchandising, display setup, and product knowledge.
  • Attend regional and national trade shows (approximately 4 per year, including major North American events).
  • Track opportunities, activities, and forecasts using CRM tools and regular sales reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with peers and leadership in a team-oriented, supportive sales culture.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of outside sales experience, ideally within building materials, flooring, home improvement, or related construction sectors.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business development and account management skills.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and driven to achieve measurable sales growth.
  • Coachable, collaborative, and competitive; someone who thrives in a goal-oriented environment.
  • Excellent presentation, follow-up, and relationship-building skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within Alberta (approx. 25%-35% overnight).
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary: $65,000
  • Incentive Plan: 2.5% of topline revenue (average annual incentive ~$50,000, paid monthly)
  • Vehicle Allowance: $1,200/month (taxable benefit) plus fuel expense covered
  • Benefits: 80% employer-paid coverage (medical, dental, vision; effective after 3 months)
  • Vacation: 3 weeks (flexible time-off culture)
