Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey Duties (Varies from role to role):
- Responsible for editing of all video content types
- Media asset management for raw and finalized footage
- Instills and trains our methods for junior staff
- Liaison with Project Managers, Marketing Managers, Studio Manager, Education Coordinators and Curriculum Director for all content types.
- Quality control/proofing of edited content
- Editing videos and ensuring sheet music and educational aspects in the video are correct.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and quality review for assistant video editors, ensuring adherence to creative standards and efficient workflow across teams.
- Supervise and mentor the assistant video editors, providing clear creative direction, constructive feedback, and ongoing support to ensure all video content meets brand and quality standards.
- Manage task assignments, review deliverables, and maintain an efficient workflow across time zones, ensuring alignment with project timelines and priorities.
- Owning the post-production workflow, which includes having a high level of initiative and the ability to solve problems ahead of time and in the moment.
- Ensuring all data and footage are securely transferred and not lost.
- Material Resources: Footage is of the utmost importance. Losing footage could cost a lot of money and render important shoots null, especially problematic if we have high level guest artists come in.
Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseKnowledge/Education/Experience
- 2-5+ years of continuous experience in film/video production
- Highly skilled in post-production workflows and editing videos
- Proficient in the English language (verbal and written)
