SLCS is currently seeking a full-time Program Assistant for the Supported Independent Living (SIL) Programs. As a member of this team, you will provide administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the SIL program as well as 371 King Street.
Within this role, you will be responsible for a number of administration related tasks, such as preparing reports and maintaining filing systems in multiple areas including ordering, tracking and reconciliation of Passport Funding for SIL clients and data entry tasks. Your role would include organizing, tracking and distribution of on and off boarding of employees, as well as being the first point of contact regarding any computer and technology related issues, providing initial troubleshooting and coordinating with our external IT provider as needed.
As a member of this team, you will also be able to research and develop proposals, review and maintain supply inventory while liaising with the Executive Administrator and the Finance Associate to coordinate tasks, as well as helping with light reception type duties and supporting visitors when they arrive. You would also be responsible to participate in SLCS employee led committees as well.
This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, strong computer skills including technical problem solving and Microsoft Office knowledge as well as the ability to be flexible while remaining professional at all times. As an SLCS employee, you will be responsible for the safety and security of 371 King Street and your co-workers during your employment.
Required Qualifications
- College Diploma or University Degree in Administration or related field
- 1-2 years relevant work experience
- Valid G2 or G Class Drivers License and access to a reliable vehicle
- Excellent Computer Skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Candidates who are proficient in both official languages of Canada will be considered an asset
