The Role

As an Automation Engineer, youll design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks while also contributing to manual testing efforts to ensure the delivery of high-quality web and mobile applications.

Youll play a key role in strengthening our quality assurance processes building reliable automation that supports fast, confident releases and a consistent user experience. Youll collaborate closely with our Engineering and Product teams to identify test coverage opportunities, streamline QA workflows, and continuously improve system reliability and performance.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving, brings a passion for clean, efficient code, and wants to have a direct impact on how thousands of educators and students experience Minga every day.

What Youll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with QA, Product, and Development teams to define test strategies, scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
• Identify, report, and track defects to ensure high-quality software releases.
  Analyze test results, optimize automation frameworks, and improve test coverage.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging tools, frameworks, and best practices in automation testing.
• Write and execute manual test cases for each release to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

What We Require

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in test automation for web and mobile applications.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright or Selenium.
• Strong programming knowledge in TypeScript and Java.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Experience with BrowserStack or similar cross-browser testing platforms.
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Bonus If You Have

• Experience with API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or Playwright API testing.
• Knowledge of performance or load testing tools.
  Prior experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
