Mould Maker / Tool Maker

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mould Maker / Tool Maker to join our team in Brantford, Ontario. In this role, you will play a vital part in the manufacturing process, utilizing your mechanical expertise to construct, repair, and maintain plastic injection moulds with precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Construct and repair plastic injection moulds.
• Focus on detailed fit, function, and assembly.
• Incorporate engineering changes, repairs, and maintenance.
• Perform precision machining, grinding, EDM for dimensional accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Injection mould experience is an asset.
• CNC programming and machining experience is an asset.
• Proficiency with machine shop tools.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with Vertical Manual and CNC Milling Machines, Lathes, and Surface Grinders.
• Skilled in using hand tools, micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators.
• Crane and lift truck experience is an asset.
• 2+ years of work experience in an industrial environment is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
