CLINICAL LEAD HOUSING (67-25)

Job Status: Permanent

Hours of Work: 1.0 FTE (35 hours per week)

Base office: Muskoka (Bracebridge, Gravenhurst or Huntsville)

Purpose of the Position:

The Clinical Lead for Housing plays a crucial role in fostering a supportive environment and inspiring a skilled team of housing clinicians to provide exceptional, personalized care. This accomplished clinician provides direct supervision, mentorship, operational support, and guidance for the housing teams daily operations. Their efforts ensure that services maintain a consistently high quality. In this dynamic role, the clinical lead develops and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders. The clinical lead works in partnership with the program manager and collaborates closely with the leadership team to uphold the mission, vision, and core values of CMHAMPS.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Preferred qualifications include a masters level post-secondary degree in Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, Social Work, or equivalent degree
  • Current registration and in good standing with one of the following Colleges: College of Nurses Ontario (CNO); College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO); College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO); College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPBAO); College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO); or Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers (OCSWSSW).
  • Eligibility and application in the process for membership may be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
  • A minimum of 2 years full-time experience with mental health and substance use service provision
  • Clinical consultation and supervision experience, including case conceptualization and documentation, preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with supportive housing and congregate living
  • Experience with Community Homes for Opportunity is considered an asset
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of current best practice as required by the position.
  • Knowledge of current provincial mental health policy applicable to the position.
  • Practical experience and knowledge working with people with serious mental illnesses and addictions with commitment to their rights
  • Familiarity with the Residential Tenancy Act
  • Demonstrated competency with principles and practices of individual, group and crisis interventions
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as cooperatively within a team environment in a rural setting
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, the Internet, and data management software
  • A willingness to serve clients within the communities of the District of Muskoka and Parry Sound
  • A valid Ontario G or G2 drivers license, a safe and reliable means of transportation, and appropriate insurance for work purposes on your vehicle with a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability coverage.
  • Bilingual in English/French language considered an asset
  • Work schedule may include days/evenings/weekends and statutory holidays.

Salary scale: $31.72 to $48.39 per hour commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Benefits: Comprehensive benefit plan and enrollment in a Registered Retirement plan with HOOPP where contributions start on date of hire.
