Position Summary
Were looking for a skilled Refrigeration Mechanic passionate about precision, enjoy solving technical challenges, and take pride in delivering top-quality HVAC solutions, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems and equipment
- Set up new systems, including wiring, piping, and other necessary connections
- Perform brazing of pipe and install all refrigeration components
- Review drawings to understand compressor functions and perform QC checks before units move to testing
- Conduct start-up and commissioning of ICE equipment in the shop
- Complete quality checklists and test equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Identify potential problems to prevent premature breakdowns
- Ensure all work complies with safety and environmental regulations
- Support R&D projects and other assigned duties
- Travel occasionally to testing facilities or job sites for warranty issues
Qualifications
- Red Seal Certificate or 4th Year Level Apprentice in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical and A/C equipment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Ability to repair A/C systems, fix leaks, recharge, and operate all necessary tools and equipment
- Valid drivers license, clean drivers abstract, and ability to pass background and drug tests as required
- Willingness to work overtime and travel if needed
- Electrical and automation experience is an asset
