Position Summary

Were looking for a skilled Refrigeration Mechanic passionate about precision, enjoy solving technical challenges, and take pride in delivering top-quality HVAC solutions, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems and equipment
  • Set up new systems, including wiring, piping, and other necessary connections
  • Perform brazing of pipe and install all refrigeration components
  • Review drawings to understand compressor functions and perform QC checks before units move to testing
  • Conduct start-up and commissioning of ICE equipment in the shop
  • Complete quality checklists and test equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Identify potential problems to prevent premature breakdowns
  • Ensure all work complies with safety and environmental regulations
  • Support R&D projects and other assigned duties
  • Travel occasionally to testing facilities or job sites for warranty issues

Qualifications

  • Red Seal Certificate or 4th Year Level Apprentice in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical and A/C equipment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Ability to repair A/C systems, fix leaks, recharge, and operate all necessary tools and equipment
  • Valid drivers license, clean drivers abstract, and ability to pass background and drug tests as required
  • Willingness to work overtime and travel if needed
  • Electrical and automation experience is an asset
