Our Care Model
Lifespan has developed an innovative private-pay healthcare model where members are supported by a multi-disciplinary care team consisting of a Family Physician, Endocrinologist, Radiologist, Nurse Practitioner, Nurse, Exercise Physiologist, Sonographer, and Dietician all certified in their field of expertise.
The Opportunity
We're growing our preventative and aesthetic medicine services and are looking for a skilled foreign-trained physician with expertise in dermatology to join our team. Position Overview
We are seeking a foreign-trained physician with recognized training and experience in preventative dermatology, skin/mole issues, and skin cancer detection. This position does not require Canadian medical licensure but does require:
- Proven expertise in skin health and preventative care
- A passion for early detection and patient education
- The ability to work closely with and under the supervision of licensed Canadian clinicians
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with mole mapping procedures and provide detailed dermatologic assessments.
- Support skin cancer screening and early detection through careful evaluation and documentation.
- Contribute to patient education on skin health, UV protection, and preventative dermatology.
- Document findings, prepare patient-facing summaries, and collaborate with licensed physicians for patient debriefs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions to optimize patient care.
- Support quality assurance, training, and continuous improvement initiatives related to skin health services.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialty training in Dermatology from a recognized institution outside of Canada.
- A minimum of 510 years of clinical experience in dermatology, including both medical and cosmetic practice.
- Demonstrated expertise in mole mapping, skin cancer detection, and cosmetic dermatology (Botox/fillers).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, empathetic, patient-centered care.
- Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to prepare structured reports and patient summaries.
- Proficiency with computers, imaging platforms, and electronic medical records is an asset.
Additional Information:
- This role does not require licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
- This is a non-diagnostic role; responsibilities are focused on data aggregation and interpretation under the supervision of licensed clinicians.
