Superintendent
- Site Superintendent responsibilities, with 5+ years of experience include:o Experience with managing Big Box, Industrial, Storage and
Manufacturing Facilities, from ground up
o Experience with managing Structural Steel and Precast projects/ builds
o Team leader on-site
o Maintain job safety board requirements and corrective measures are
implemented. Enforce Hady's Health & Safety Policy
o Ensure that all subcontractors, sub-trades and site staff adhere to safety
and security requirements while performing their work on site. For
example, you will ensure that at minimum, hard hats, steel toe boots
and safety equipment such as vests, harnesses are worn. Ensure that
the site is kept clean and clear of debris and hazards at all times, by
enforcing clean-up requirements and regular inspection of trades' work
o Orientate all subcontractors, sub-trades and any visitors to the site
o Day-to-day site supervision and organizational requirements (e.g.
Completing Daily Reports, issue Purchase Orders (POs) as required when
approved, providing POs/Packing Slips/Tickets and reports to Head
Office on a weekly basis).
o Ensure that all signage and demarcation of work areas are in place at all
times
o Ensure the project is carried out on schedule, while meeting the Quality
standards as set out by the contract documents (via Project Manager)
o Coordination and cooperation with the owner, design team, project
manager and other designated team members
o Supervise, plan schedule and coordinate contract requirements of all
subcontractors, their workers and all sub-trades
o Plan, strategize, schedule and endeavour to ensure that schedules are
kept and the build is completed on time
o Help develop and provide regular updates to the team members and
project manager if timelines and schedules are not going to be met
o Troubleshoot, resolve issues, problems, and conflicts when they arise
o Attend meetings with owner, architect, project manager, team
members and other project stakeholders as required/ requestedo Manage the project/site with transparency, reporting and
communicating with the project manager on a regular basis
o Conduct and document regular trades site meetings
o Ensure the work is performed in accordance with the drawings,
specification and local codes
o As required arrange for regular testing and inspection for, and not
limited to, footing bearing, concrete strength, structural steel and deck,
roofing, etc.
o Coordinate the purchase and ordering of materials for the job site with
team members and PM approval. Dump bins and other minor
material requirements could be ordered directly without an approved
purchase order from the project manager, but must be documented so
that costs are proven to be reasonable. Providing Site Superintendent
Purchase Orders when/ as required.
o Meeting with City inspectors, utility representatives, Ministry of Labour
representatives, project consultants and other project stakeholders
o Coordinate and review inspections with inspectors and trades to
complete milestone dates for substantial completion, occupancy and
total completion
o Help develop deficiency list and rectify
o Maintain “As-Built” drawings
o Assist in closing permits and releases of Letters of Credit and Deposits
o Any other Construction Site Superintendent duties as assigned/
required by management
