Director of Finance - Manufacturing

The business is in a high-growth phase and is looking for a hands-on finance leader with a firm-trained foundation and extensive experience in costing, supply chain, and product sourcing. You'll be a key partner to the CEO, helping shape strategy while building financial structure and driving profitability. Principal Tasks and Responsibilities Include:
Lead full-cycle accounting including financial reporting, consolidations, and month-end close
Drive budgeting, forecasting, and annual planning
Improve and standardize AP, AR, and GL processes
Manage cash flow, working capital, and tax compliance
Liaise with auditors and external advisors
Ensure internal controls and regulatory compliance
Partner with the CEO on business planning and growth strategy
Perform detailed costing, margin, and pricing analysis to drive profitability
Support and influence product sourcing decisions with robust financial analysis
Collaborate closely with supply chain and operations to align production realities with financial targets
Build dashboards and real-time reporting for leadership visibility
Lead margin improvement initiatives tied to sourcing, vendor management, and process efficiencies
Provide financial guidance on new product and customer analysis to identify scalable opportunities
Qualifications and Pre-Requisites:
CPA designation strongly preferred, with a firm-trained background (Big 4 or mid-tier public accounting)
7+ years in finance/accounting, with extensive experience in manufacturing, costing, supply chain, and product sourcing
Strong track record in both hands-on accounting and financial leadership
Proven ability to build processes and structure in a growth-focused environment
Comfortable operating with ambiguity and incomplete information
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence decisions
Business-minded, proactive, and excited to scale a growing company

Location: Mississauga, ON
Compensation: $150K base + 25%+ bonus (Bonus is tied to company performance/growth)
