Our client is a growing construction company that started in Ontario and has successfully expanded into the Calgary market. Specializing in multifamily and commercial new build projects, the company prides itself on quality, client relationships, and delivering projects that shape the communities they serve. With an expanding pipeline of work in Alberta, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Calgary team.

The Role

As a Project Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of multifamily construction projects, from preconstruction through to completion. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working from home for administrative and planning duties, while maintaining a strong presence on-site to lead project execution. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, detail-oriented, and has proven success managing large-scale multifamily builds.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of multifamily projects, from planning and budgeting through construction and closeout.

• Lead project teams including site staff, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.

• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and forecasts to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

• Maintain proactive communication with clients, consultants, and internal leadership.

• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.

• Review and approve drawings, specifications, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.

• Drive issue resolution, risk management, and value engineering initiatives.

• Report on project performance and provide strategic updates to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Project Manager in multifamily or large-scale commercial construction.

• Strong background in project budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration.

• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project teams effectively.

• Solid understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations.

• Proficiency in project management and construction software (Procore, MS Project, etc.).

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
